Children's book written
by Falmouth mom

FALMOUTH — Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino of Falmouth has written a new children's book published by Bryson Taylor Publishing based in Saco.

"Blueberry - A Cat's Eye View of Maine" is a story of a cat who leaves his home in York to explore the state of Maine.

Readers will find unique aspects to the book. "Blueberry" was illustrated by two teenagers from Saco, Katherine Trask and Emily Puleio. The students were chosen from hundreds of applicants around the state.

The book also includes a journal for readers to write in and, if desired, can submit their own drawings of Blueberry the cat.

Hamilton-Guarino has donated much of her time to children's literacy efforts and was appointed as an Ambassador to Maine Reads in 2006. She is also the CEO and co-founder of a woman's website and publication "Best Ever YOU."

Book readings can be arranged by contacting Deb@brysontaylor.com. Hamilton-Guarino has pledged to donate to a school or organization that hosts an author's visit $1 per book sold at the event.
